Get the Look : A Timeless Table
I am upset to say that I don't eat as many meals at the dining table as I would like. I almost always eat dinner at the table, but breakfast and lunch are a toss. I've been trying to make a conscious effort to eat at the table more. It's one of those things that I can't quite explain the importance, I just think it's what I should do. You know what I mean?
I have been more mindful of my dinnerware though, and am looking to slowly gather quality pieces that have personality and can also stand the test of time. Gone are the days of impulse buys! The best part of this intention is it makes it ideal to purchase from makers & artists!
This round-up is one part shopping guide and one part personal wish list :)
These are some pieces that I think would make the perfect additions to a well-collected and thoughtful table.
- COLORFUL PLATTER - I have long been a fan of Suite One Studio and drool over literally everything she makes! This platter is the perfect combination of color and classic style that would definitely stand the test of time!
- PATTERNED LINENS - Table linens are another necessary part of preparing and enjoying meals. This is one area where you can really go crazy and inject color and pattern.
- TIMELESS MUG - I learned of Atelier Petit at a craft market we were both a part of. I purchased the sweetest tumbler and now am ready to add more pieces to my collection!
- SERVING BOWLS - These bowls speak for themselves. A nesting set ensures you have the right size bowl for the job and the walnut wood is pure goodness.
